"The Joy of Christmas"

Wow, I love this time of year. It's so nice to have family & friends to share this wonderful holiday with. Christmas Eve we spend the night celebrating what Christmas really means, and at the same time having a "JOLLY" of a time with Christmas music, food, and seeing the joy on everyones face.

(Alexis loved this Santa dancing!)

(Alexis Making sweet Christmas music)
Later that night it was time to head home to prepare for the JOLLY man himself, old St Nick. The kids put out his milk & cookies then headed to bed.

They topped the night with a tradition we do around here, the reading of
Twas The Night Before Christmas.

Then off to bed they went. All tucked in their beds and off to sleep they went! When they woke up the next morning to their surprise Santa had came!

To see the joy in their eyes was the best
Christmas present I could ever ask for.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday filled with love & joy in their heart!
I wish you ALL a Happy New YEAR!!!!!

Thursday

Time to make the cookies!

Yep it's that time of year when the kids & I pack into the kitchen and make our holiday cookies for family & friends. Every year since Joshua was a little man (old enough to help) we would bake all kinds of cookies just days before Christmas. Now that there's two of them things get done a lot faster in the baking department, but longer in the cleaning area lol. But it's all worth it. Making memories & spending time with the family is what it's all about. I hope you all are enjoying the holidays and making holiday traditions of your own.

Now, I need a Christmas cookie hehe!
Happy Holidays!

Wednesday

"Ice Skating with the family"

Sunday we decided to take the kids Ice Skating. The kids had such a great time Joshua is counting down the days til we go again.A few days later we all went roller skating for the 1st time as well, and Joshua has made it very clear ice skatng is MUCH easier then roller skating lol.

If your in the Atlanta area, check out the outdoor Ice Skating. It's a blast!!!!

"A few to share"

Sorry I've been MIA once again, but it's the holidays. It's so hard to keep up with everything with all the Christmas craziness going on around here.. I'm trying to post as I can. So please forgive me :) On a good note I hve been scrapbooking. It's the only thing that keeps me sane from all the crazines lol. It's the best therapy a girl can get around here.  I throught take some time and share with you some of the layouts I have been working on.

In these layouts I have used some quality scrapbook products like Sassafras Lass-Monstrosity, BoBunny - Gypsy Collection, Crate Paper - Seasons, and October Afternoon - Report Card. Of course these are a few of my favorite paper lines. Hope you are enjoying your day. Have a wonderful weekend and keep on scrappin!!!

Wednesday

Love this time of year!

Sitting around the tree drinking hot chocolate and watching one of my favorite Christmas shows on tv. I remember watching this as a little kid. Now I'm enjoying it with two of my favorite kids in the whole wide world. Sharing the same moments with them as I did as a child make it so much sweeter.
It's little moments like these that I LOVE!

The tree is FINISHED!

Finally got the tree all decorated. After days of hanging lights, putting ornaments on, and adding finishing touches here and there it's done!

Hope you feel Merry & Bright this time of year!

Monday

Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner??

I can't believe it's almost that time of year again. Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner?? It seems like yesterday we were bringing in the New Year of 2009. Before you know it we will be counting down the seconds to 2010, setting goals for the New Year & look forward to what the year will bring.

I know a lot of you are just getting over the Thanksgiving weekend, but This weekend the Hansen household started to fell the holiday spirit. We pulled out all the decorations and even put up the artificial Christmas trees. We decorated all the trees but the one in the livingroom. Good thing cause my husband decided he wanted a real tree this year. Growing up my family always put up an artificial so I wasn't really sure how I felt about a real one. Well, we took off Sunday mid morning just to look around at the trees. Guess what we brought home? You guessed it, an 8 foot Christmas tree. It's BEAUTIFUL!!!! So I packed up the artificial in the livingroom and Jay set up the live tree. So today we will decorate. Man do I love Christmas!

I hope you all take the time to enjoy the next month with Christmas songs, holiday dinners, making that crafty gift, shopping for that special someone, and just enjoying the family & friends around you. Life is to short to waste it away. One day we will all look back and cherish these very moments we are making. So enjoy them now, reminisce later!!

Hope you all have a great Monday!
