A little card making with Two Chicks February kit

Over the weekend I got the chance to work with Two Chicks Designs February kit. Its amazing just how much you can get out of this kit. After 4 layouts, and a mini 6x6 album I was still able to make a few cards.

*First card:  my little girl picked out this adorable little doggie out of the Chick'n Feathers box and wanted me to use it. I added a little ribbon from Chick'n Noodles. Then cut out a swirl from the Cricut machine to use as my mask and finished the card off with a little glimmer mist.
*The next 3 cards I used scraps that I had leftover from the layouts I did this past weekend. This is why I save "ALL" my scraps big or small! After a week if I don't use them the small scraps I just throw away. When it came time to make these cards the small one's came in hand. I'm proud to say I threw nothing away.

I'm not much of a card maker, but I have found myself at the end of the night putting those scraps to use. Having these handmade cards mean so much more to my family & friends then a $4.00 card from the store. So the next time your scrapbooking , before the nights over I challenge you to use those scraps and make a handmade card.

Thanks for stopping by.

This weekend Two Chicks (facebook fan page) hossted a
Let your Heart Shine challenge.
The only requirements - 1. Must have hearts on the page.
2. Your layout must include journaling from your heart.
I thought I would play around with the ladies in this challenge and see what I could come up with.

In this layout I used Pink Paislee Cupid Collection.
I embellished with Prima swirls and paper flowers I handmade from the Cupid collection.

Awesome husband!

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day,
I know I DID!
Valentine's morning I woke up to this!
WOW what a wonderful surprise it was to see roses, balloons and cards from the family.
The big surprise was my husband took me to a scrapbook store to surprise me. So sweet right??!!! He took me to Archiver's. Come on, for a man to think of this, he's doing something right! He told me, I knew you didn't want candy, so the next closes thing to yummy would be SCRACPBOOK supplies. So while I did some shopping he took the kids to a few stores. While there I picked up a few punches, some Thickers by (American Crafts) a few papers, and swirl pearls by (PRIMA) After shopping we went out to lunch than did a little grocery shopping. The day turned out to be pretty amazing with the family. I guess I can say Valentine's Day to me means spending it with the one's you LOVE
(husband & children).
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Just in love with this paper!

I know, I said it once already, but i'm going to say it again. I LOVE this PAPER LINE!!!!!! What a beautiful bright mix of colors. It makes me so happy everytime I look at it.
After doing a layout from the 3 sheets I recived I still had a lot leftover. So, I felt the NEED to do another layout and a few cards.
Photo: This is a picture of my beautiful little girl, Alexis. There's not a day that goes by that she doesn't show her true personality. She's such a happy go lucky kind of girl. Full of life and enterjectic.

Mom, my teacher needs a Valentines gift.

Day by day kept passing by and I still could NOT think of something to give or even make for Josh & Alexis's teachers this Valentines. Well, I was up last night stalking other peoples blogs wasting time and came across this really cute idea.
Right away I knew I had one of these boxes. I pulled out the box and went to work.
Even though I can't take ALL the credit for the idea I still made it my own.
Love her work!

I think they turned out so darn stink'in cute!!!!!
Hope you enjoyed this cute
Chocolate Survival Kit!
Happy Valentines!

Sophie collection, OH so sweet!

One of the great perks about being on a design team,
you get to work with all the paper lines.
What about this Bo Bunny Sophie collection?
Can you say fabulous!
What more can you ask for in a paper line- Sophie has flowers, butterflies, polka dots, stripes, scallops and swirls! This is a paper collection I'll be using over and over again. I have to say BoBunny pulled out ALL the stops this time around.
**
In this layout I mainly used one of the diecut paper sheets.
Added the NEW Double Dot Cardstock for the base.
Some really cute white Thickers- American Crafts for the title.
And of course a touch of bling.
I have to say, this is one of my many favorites from 2010 Winter CHA!!!!

Have a blessed day!
