October Afternoon- Rocket Age

This spring we decided to take the kids to The WINDY City. While in Chicago we visited Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum. The picture I used in this layout just cracks me up! Joshua decided he was going to hold up the Milky Way Galaxy. Of course we had to play around with my camera and get a few good shots.
When Erin from Sweet Memories gave me some October Afternoon -"Rocket Age", I knew right away what I was going to do with it. Here's a layout I put together using this awesome collection.
With all the wonderful papers, stickers, embellishments in this collection, I hope you find it Outta this world!!! By far one of the best space-age looks I've seen.

Working with "Mr Boy" by Bella BLVD.

"Super Cool DUDE"

I used Bella BLVD. "Mr Boy" papers in this adorable layout of my cousin. With his happy-go-lucky personality & FUN free spirit, he's definitely 100% Boy! He definitely brings these boy papers from Bella BLVD to life.  Two thumps up to Bella BLVD. for making such a wonderful line of boy papers to work with!

Summer color inspiration

Now that summer is here I hope to have more time to scrapbook and lot more to scrap about!  Over the past 2 weeks the kids have kept me very busy. The plus side to school being out I have found that there is less laundry to do in our house. The down side, well the swimsuits & towels are starting to stack up high in our laundry room. Hope you all have a wonderful and fun filled summer!!!!!!!
All this talk about summer makes me think about the wonderful, bright and very summer like papers by Anna Griffin. This "Carmen" Collection is so beautiful.
The exotic colors in this collection are so vibrant and GORGEOUS!   It screams SUMMER all over it. Hope you enjoy this layout using this beautiful collection.

I am loving the "NEW" line from Basic Grey "Hello Luscious". With wonderful colors and patterns in this collection I'm sure to find myself using it quite often. Here's a layout I made using this lovely line of papers.
My favorite part of this layout is the flowers! I could cut these flowers out all day. They are SO pretty!
What can I say, I'm someone who loves nothing better than to cut up paper.

Playing with Sweetness by Pink Paislee

I absolutely love this photo of my little girl. It just melts my heart! When I saw the "Sweetness" collection by Pink Paislee  I knew this picture has sweetness all over it(what can I say, I'm her mom).  I love this whole collection of papers. As I started this layout I really wanted to mix as many of the papers together as possible. So with that said, I took a stack of papers and went to the cricut machine. I started cutting as many different shapes as I could find for a layered look.
I also did some layering on top with the flowers I cut from the "Sweetest Day" & "Picture Perfect" papers. Then added one of the cutest Doodads(embellishment) that says, "sweet cutie pie".

And of course added the cute banner from the 12x12 Element Sticker sheet on top of the layout. This layout says, SWEETNESS all over it!

working w/ Creative Scrappers sketch #144

Hey scrapbook friends. Just wanted to take a few minutes and share a layout with you all.
I love my cricut machine. I don't use it as much as I should but I absolutely love having it on hand. Check out this really cute title I made using the Winter Woodland cartridge

This wouldn't be a layout of mine if I didn't add BLING! So, I added a little PRIMA bling in the center of the snowflakes. Then I used my white pen (a must have in your tools) around the letters & white VersaMagic Dew Drop Chalk to finish the title off.
I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers sketch #144 to design my layout.  If you're looking for a little inspiration go check them out. Their blog & sketches are awesome!

It's not often that I create a layout of myself, but I have to say this year I plan on making more time to scrap about me! Hope you all are having a wonderful & scrap happy week!

"On The Edge" by Teresa Collins

My son Josh is one of the most amazing young men I know.  Looking at him in this picture makes me realize just how fast our children grow up. One minute we're welcoming them into this world, holding them in our arms soaking in every second after they are born. Then the next minute we're watching them grow into charming, out going young men.

"Check out this layout using On The Edge collection"
(Sketch from Creative Scrappers #97)
This past weekend I had the chance to work with some of Teresa Collins designs. Take a look at one of her NEW collections "On The Edge" <-here.
This is one of the best boy collections I've seen in a long time. I'm loving the different shades of blue mixed with black & grey. As for the embellishments, love them! Check out the brads, very unique! By far my favorite embellishment in this collection, And the papers and clear overlay are wonderful.
The collection is perfect for anyone male or female from young to old. This line is definitely a collection favorite!

Monday

Echo Park papers

As we start another week in my household, I start to wonder if the rain is ever going to let up. We had such a wonderful, BEAUTIFUL weekend! Then this morning I woke up to rain. I hope it's not a sign of what's to come the rest of the week  :)

Over the weekend I've kept myself very busy. First, I'm proud to say I have been very committed to POTD (picture of the day). Having my new compact printer by Epson (check out printer here) has helped a great deal in keeping my Project Life album up-to-date. Second, I was able to finish a few layouts. Take a look at another favorite layout of mine that I worked on this weekend.

I love this highlights layout. I created a collage print of some important moments from the past year and arranged them on this simple but awesome sketch #117 from Creative Scrappers. I used "A Walk In The Park" papers by Echo Park (check it out here) I love their paper packs. This pack is so bright & cheerful. It goes with everything. When looking for paper to use, for some reason I find myself always picking up one of there collection packs. If you haven't seen any of their papers IT"S A MUST! You'll love them.

Hey, Hey all you scrappers/crafters. Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Last night I spent all day at my favorite spot in town Sweet Memories. While I was there I did manage to squeeze in a little scrapbooking despite all the talking & giggling we did at our rowdie table.

With so many papers to pick & choose from in a collection your creativity is endless.  Here's a layout I finished last night using My Minds Eye,Fine and Dandy- "True Blue":

Wednesday

"Working on ME"

I spend a lot of time scrapping about my family, vacations, and the little moments that happen in our family life. I've become so busy with these themes I forget one important thing to scrap, ME. So I pulled out some photos of me throughout the past year and made it a point to scrap about myself. After going through my photos I remembered I had some paper by Studio Calico that I love.
I mixed together "Home Front" & "Anthology" papers and threw together a great mix of alphabets in this layout. Last but not least, I placed this cute little flower embellishment near the title for the finishing touches.
** I used sketch #137 from Creative Scrappers.**

Tuesday

I'm very excited..

..and honored to have been asked to be a Guest Designer over at  Creative Scrappers. This week I was given the chance to work with a great sketch designed by Suzanne, one of Creative Scrappers sketch designers. With all the wonderful stars on this layout I thought it would be perfect for my son's 7th birthday pics.
Here's my take on the design.
I took these pictures back in November on his birthday and been putting them off to scrap for months. I love playing with sketches for the main reason It does 50% of the work for you when scrapbooking. Come check out what Creative Scrappers creative team have come up with!  The inspiration is endless.

Hope you all have had a wonderful start to a wonderful week.
Scrap Happy!

"Mixing it up"

Hey, just wanted to stop in and share with you all a layout I put together earlier today.
Four months later I've finally scrapped my daughters first day of preschool. I really mixed up this layout with a little bit of everything. I used echo park paper -A Walk In The Park collection kit, a splash of Bo Bunny - Sun Kissed papers, with a touch of CratePaper -School Spirit Collection, then embellished with adorable butterfly remarks dimensional stickers from Dear Lizzy & American Crafts.

"Take time and be creative & perverse memories that will last a lifetime."

Monday

Monday Scraps!

How did you spend your Monday? I pulled out some Fancy Pants papers and got a little crafty today. It was a nice break from all the holiday craziness that has been going on the past few months. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my madness Monday.
I created this layout using these awesome papers, elements stickers from Fancy Pants, and this lovely sage Bloomer ribbon from Websters Pages. When I see this ribbon I want to use it on everything I scrap.
Of course, if I did that then I would run out of it in my stash.

Yeah, yeah, I'm one of those people. I buy all this scrap supplies then stash it away. What can I say, I love ribbon. A LOT! When I showed this layout to my husband, he was shocked to find the amount of ribbon on it (lol). He actually said to me, "You must have a lot of that ribbon! You used a great deal of it on this layout". I was speechless. Am I really that bad about not using things I buy? How could it be that my husband knows what I have in my stash? All I could say, "I didn't want it to sit there and collect a lot of dust now".

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and a fabulous Monday!
