Scrappin with Websters Pages and Crate Paper

I've spent the past 2 weeks enjoying a little vacation time.  For my birthday my sweet husband gave me a scrapbook retreat at the wonderful " The Scrapbook Cabin " located in the North Georgia mountain town of Ellijay. The owner Christa really knows how to show some wonderful hospitality. When she hosts a retreat, she really knows what she's doing. Everything was amazing, even the wonderful meals that were cooked. If your looking for a great place to relax, scrapbook, make some new friends or just hang out with your scrappy friends this is the place to be! I had such a wonderful time I signed up for another retreat September.
Check out a few pictures I took for the retreat:
It was so nice to leave out all my scrap supplies at the retreat house. No packing up in between meals. At the end of the night I stopped where I was in a project and headed straight to bed. No cleaning up OR packing away my supply's equals me being more productive lol.  Check out these layouts I worked on at the retreat house.

Crazy Daisy Kit Co.

Every month I get this awesome kit in the mail. After playing around with my Crazy Daisy Kit I have l so much leftover embellishments. The one thing I hate to see is good product just sitting around in a little baggie. Not sure what to do with these little pieces you get in those kits???? Well, check this out! I took some ribbon I had laying around an went to work on some ruffle ribbon flowers.

How to make ruffle ribbon flowers:

You will need-
*needle & coordinating thread
*ribbon (about 10")

1> With a needle and thread (or you can use a sewing machine) sew a simple basting stitch along one edge.
2>  When you have sewed all the way to the end, pull the thread tight. The fabric will ruffle up.

3> Stitch the two ends together to make a complete circle.

*** If you want, you can repeat this process with another pattern of ribbon. Adding layers is beautiful.***

4> Trim off your threads and finish your flower. Dress the center of your flower up with beads, jewels or even buttons. I used all the leftover embellishments from June mini kit.

Take a look at the layout I made with these adorable little flowers. The layout is so simple and sweet!!

My Mind's Eye "Forever With You"

Here's a layout I worked on for Scrapbook Chicks. I just adore this photo of my son Joshua. He spent all afternoon watching and playing with his shadow. It's the little moments like this I love to capture in a photograph.
-In this layout I used My Mind's Eye So Sophie- "Forever with You" Delightful Diamond paper.
-Under paper I used a paint splat looking stamp to give more of a textured look.
-Using Cricut Machine I cut out a arrow with So Sophie -Charming "Possibilities" Content Geometric paper.
-Cut out the circles from the MME So Sophie- Charming "We are Family" Loop-de-Loop paper
-Used October Afternoon sticker words
-Chick'n feed by Scrapbook Chicks
-Stamped little circles accent with little Pearl
-Titled with: American Crafts Dear Lizzy Puffy Berry Thickers (Black)
and So Sophie "Simple Things" Alphabet sheet

"The Girls Paperie"

This past weekend I spend a little time with some great friends. We went to the movies to see "Sex and the City". Then we treated ourselves to a wonderful dinner and of course dessert to top off a fabulous night. I didn't get much scrapping done this weekend, but I did manage to finish a layout of a good friend that I've been working on.
Check out this wonderful paper by
I love the embellishments! I think it's the best part of this collection. Check out the "V" card on this layout. It's one of the embellishments from this collection. It came from the Paper Cuts pack. In this pack you get a little bit of heaven all in one box. There is a lot of wonderful die-cuts in this package! Like the clock you see right above the letter "V" card. Witch I have to say goes very well with this layout because her name is Veronica. I know, I'm one of those scrappers that enjoy ALL the little details in a layout hehe.
What can I say, I love to embellish!

Crazy Daisy -June Kits are Up!!!!!

Summer has started off right this year. Today, I took the kids to the library. They had a magic man kickoff the summer program with a few tricks up is sleeve lol. The kids had a great time and even Joshua pledged to read 16 books this summer. After we checked out a few books,we then stopped by the store to pick up our own copy of "Alice in Wonderland"(can you believe the kids have already watched this move twice since we've been home??!!!). What can I say, It's an awesome movie. I just may have to scrap a page about this movie.

So it's about that time I show you all next months mini kit for  Crazy Daisy Kit Co. But before I do take a look at a layout made with May kit.
I have to say I favor this layout because it's a picture of me when I was a little girl. For once I'm scrappin myself, and it feels great! Now, check out next months mini kit. With summer here this mini kit is perfect for us all!
Come check out all their kits, and the other designer projects for the month of May.
