"Count down to Thanksgiving"

Well I let Wed. get by without posting. So here is a little thankful post for my blog.
I am so happy to have family that love me in my life.This year my parents are spending Thanksgiving with my brother & his family, so my cousin invited me to spend the holiday with them. So we packed up the family and headed to Alabama. With a warm welcome we came into a house smelling like Thanksgiving already.With the kids running around, cooking going on in the background, & late night talking it reminded me of the hoildays back home. Nomatter where you spend your holiday or who you spend it with I hope you all have wonderful Thanksgivng, build memories that will last and eat until your stuffed lol.!

It's time for another daily THANKFUL posting.

I am so Thankful to have a husband that supports me in everything I do. I am thankful for the warm embraces when he comes home. Even after six years of marriage, we still look forward to each other's arrival with excitement. He has truly showed me what a husband, father & a best friend should be. He has made my life complete and I couldn't imagine my life without him.

Week of taking daily pictures has begun..

Week of taking daily THANKFUL pictures has begun. Each day I will post a picture sharing with you what I am Thankful for. Big or small there is so much we should be thankful for. No matter what it is don't take things for granted. 

I am so thankful to have two wonderful and healthy children. They truly love life and know how to live without any worry at this age. When I'm stressed out holding them is the one thing that takes it all away. Seeing them smile, happy and carefree is something to be thankful for.

When it comes to paper...

Sitting in the STUDIO waiting for something to jump out at me I looked over and saw a great sketch. I knew what picture to use but what paper and embellishments to use was the big question?????? There are so many paper lines I love but finding that right one for a layout is always so hard. I tend to mix & match so much. When it comes to paper it always takes me putting so much thought into it. But this time I had no problem picking the right mix of papers. See I've had my eyes on Sassafras SWEET MARMALADE for sometime now just not sure how I was going to use it. After opening the pack of paper I found the perfect papers. It's so nice to have everything you need in one pack. No hunting for other papers to go right along with it. I just cut up another piece from the line to add a little embellishment here and there and paired it up with Pink Paislee Expressions Glitter Alphabets in cherry for that perfect look. I think the layout turned out awesome once I was done.

I'm back!

My poor little blog. Really, how can someone leave something unattended for so long. After planning for our family vacation and heading to Florida for a week I came back to a unhappy blog. Trying to catch up with everything is a job it's self. I have promised myself to blog at least 3 time this week to get myself back in the swing of things.

On another note, last night I finally got a little time to myself. Of course, I headed to my happy place to scrap, and couldn't resist a good sale. Last night Sweet Memories held their 250 Facebook Fan sale. Everything was 50%off in the store. This was their way of showing "US" the fans that they appreciate us. As you can see everyone had a blast. Some people came prepared to take down anything and "ANYBODY" that stood in their way in getting that product they been wanting for a while lol! By the end of the night everyone was very happy they shop at Sweet Memories

 & are glad they #1 fans of the store.

Is that Fall I see?

WOW I can finally say, I see Fall!  The best part of this picture is it's a view from our back door. Now this is a picture I enjoy waking up to every morning. It is an explosion of color everywhere. What was once a green forest like area is now a color pallet for Fall .

"The woods are full of fairies;

the sea is full of fish;

the trees are full of golden leaves;

let's make an autumn wish."

 It's going to be a great weekend for fall color throughout GA. I'm thinking a Sunday drive is calling my name.

Joshua the "ROCK STAR"

Wednesday was Joshua's big day view as a star lol. Well, OK not really but he got to act like one for a day. This week is spirit week at school and it was come to school as a ROCK STAR. So he did just that. If you know me I always say, Go BIG or Go HOME!!! We pulled out all the stops on this one. So what kind of rock star did he go as, we PUNKed it out all the way an had a blast doing it!

What can I say, The KIDS a Rock Star hehe!!!

Family time is the best time!

I love the weekends don't you? For our family it's always that time of the week we can all come together as one. If were sitting at home, going to the park, out on an adventure or just our morning breakfast stop at Waffle House it's always a treat to be together.

This past weekend we took a little trip to Stone Mountain Park. The kids had a blast.This was the first time any of them had been and it was so exciting to them. Its times like this that make me very thankful to have a loving family that I can spend time with.

Croptoberfest

Once again Sweet Memories Scrapbooks held a fabulous crop. Croptoberfest was a success! With a plan, I went into the crop with lots to do. I finish a baby album for a customer and even worked on a few layouts of my own. Everyone had such a great time, and some even squeezed in a class taught by one of Sweet Memories Scrapbooks design team Jennifer.

She taught a spooky class using My Little Yellow Bicycle's Halloween line.The Haunted Halloween House mini album turned out to be a big hit.

So while I was at the crop I got a few layouts done for myself using Cosmo Cricket - Early Bird. This paper line is so cute and the chipboard embellishments will make u smile. Of course picking the right picture to use with this paper line was a piece of cake or should I say cookie hehe.

 Once I saw the paper and the "Hey there cookie" I knew I had the perfect picture of Alexis eating her favorite cookie.

The second layout I worked on this weekend was a picture of my husband & I. It's been sitting in my bag waiting to be scrapped."We go together like Salt & Pepper"!

What a great saying right lol. There's no other saying to describe Jay & I. So to work I went with this paper & cute/crazy saying. When it was all said and done, the adhesive was on, the paper was down the layout turned out really cute.

"My weekend"

You would think it's winter outside. We have lived here almost 3 years and this is the first time fall has come and gone so fast. We had to pull out all the winter gear just to step outside this weekend hehe. Other then the very cold weather I had a great weekend. It ended up being a very productive weekend. I scrap Friday & Saturday night, and made it to the Recipe club on Sunday at
 Sweet Memories Scrapbooks, Then off to the fair.

Here is a layout I did with new & beautiful fall collection-Indian summer. This paper is so lovely. I wanted to use the paper in some other way then in a fall layout using fall pictures. I just love this picture of my husband & Alexis. It shows how much Alexis loves her daddy. With a title like this, "The first man a girl Falls In Love with is her dad" it turned out to be a nice fall like layout.

Joshua's teacher has a birthday tomorrow and getting just any present is so not me. So I wanted to do something FUN and of course creative. Something that Joshua could be a part of as well. So this adorable candy bouquet is the perfect gift for her. What makes it even more special it was made with Joshua's help. Just a sweet gift for a sweet teacher!

Sweet Memories Scrapbooks opened their newest addition to the store "STUDIO". Now these ladies know how to get a crop started right. Everyone had a blast hanging out with friends and even made a few new ones along the way. With their creative juices flowing everyone got to work in this very trendy STUDIO. No need to worry about space, tools or ideas, with plenty of scrapbooking space & use of their tools you're bound to be inspired. If you didn't get the chance to stop by Saturday you'll want to take time out this week to check it out. You will NEVER find another place like this one.

"Happy Children"

So, I was thinking the other day how nice it is to have friends here in GA. After moving up here almost 3 years ago the thought of not knowing anyone was very scray. Having 2 young children and not know anyone or even the area made me a little homesick.

After being here for a few days we met the neighbor. Ever since then we all have been friends and our children love to play with each other. It's so awesome to see my children enjoying LIFE to the fullest.
